Cynthia is a native of Boyd County has been at Burnaugh Baptist Church since her father was called as pastor in the early 1970s. She began piano lessons in the fall of 1973, became a Christian in the summer of '74 and has been working in the music ministry at Burnaugh ever since. Cynthia completed a bachelor's degree in music education from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida and received a master's degree in education guidance and counseling from Morehead State University. She has been active in the community and area schools teaching music to young and old alike. She is currently the music teacher at Summit Elementary School and has served as an adjunct professor of music education at Kentucky Christian University. Her years of experience in music prepared her to receive the call from God to serve as music director at Burnaugh in 2005. She feels tremendously blessed to serve God and the people of Burnaugh through the ministry of music. Cynthia married Tim Sullivan in 1987 and they have four sons, T.K., Spencer, Jack, and Vince.
